Recovery Ally Training

A 2-hour training for individuals who want to better understand substance use disorders and learn how to support those facing substance use and mental health challenges.

Objectives

  • Normalize conversations about mental health and substance use in the construction industry.

  • Recognize addiction as a medical condition, not a matter of willpower.

  • Challenge myths and stigma that prevent people from seeking support.

  • Understand that recovery is a lifelong journey with multiple pathways to wellness.

  • Develop skills to use empathetic language and active listening when supporting peers.

  • Identify local and industry-specific resources for mental health and substance use support.
