Dear Building Futures grads,
It’s the time of year when we celebrate the huge impact that Registered Apprenticeship has for people and employers across the state as part of National Apprenticeship Week. As one of our pre-apprenticeship graduates, your success is especially important to us. I wanted to recognize your contribution and offer our unwavering support.
When you graduated Building Futures’ pre-apprenticeship program, it was more than a huge step to improve your life and gain a career. You also joined a family — a supportive network that has your back, celebrates your successes, and is here when you need us. We are proud of your accomplishments and honored to be part of your life.
It can be challenging to navigate and thrive in this world. However, when you have a supportive network of people who want to see you succeed, those challenges are easier to overcome. If you need support, contact me, Ian, Marlo, Evan, Maia — or anyone on staff. Graduates from earlier classes might not have met our Recovery Director yet, Michael Currier, but Michael is also here now to support your mental health and well-being, whether you are concerned about substance use or just need to talk. Connect with Building Futures staff.
When you graduated Building Futures, you became a leader, paving the way for the next generation of graduates. Leadership has its own challenges and rewards – it’s essential to recognize and celebrate that. In fact, in 2025, we will be offering new leadership workshops you might be interested in.Â
Please join us next week to celebrate RI Apprenticeship Week at Building Futures on Wednesday, November 20, from 4 – 6 pm. And I hope you take this invitation to connect seriously — none of us accomplish anything alone — we need each other to make positive changes in our own lives and the lives of others.Â
I am honored to count you as part of the Building Futures family.
