Help is available

If you are struggling with concerns about substance use or your mental health – you are not alone. Your union and Building Futures are here to help. You can access a variety of confidential services at the numbers below.

As a member of a RI Building and Construction Trades Council union, you can access many different kinds of support. You can call your union or connect with your Employee Assistance Program (EAP).  Many unions have member peers who are in recovery and able to lend an ear or help you decide what comes next. There are union specific recovery groups or, scroll down to the bottom of the page to find a local 12-step meeting or other recovery group.

Sometimes, things can feel really hopeless, but know that you are not alone. You CAN recover and you can get back to work afterwards.

Contact Michael Currier at Building Futures. Michael is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a person in long term recovery. He is available to answer your questions and help you make a plan that works for you. You can reach him at 401-426-2470 or at
